Hazard Communication for Managers and Supervisors (HazCom/GHS) Online Course Description: This advanced OSHA HazCom for Supervisors & Managers online training course includes introductory and specialized materials which will enable supervisors to better recognize and eliminate, or reduce, Occupational Safety and Health Hazards in their work environments where there are hazardous chemicals. This course also reviews, in relative detail, OSHA’s revised Globally Harmonized System (GHS) requirements for hazard classification, safety data sheets and product labels.
This training course has been developed directly from OSHA’s Hazard Communication requirements as outlined in the revised OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) and is intended to help supervisors, managers and employers meet their workers basic training requirements for Hazard Communication.
NOTE: It is suggested that Supervisors and Managers also take Hazard Communication Advanced course which provides a good background and introduction of the OSHA HazCom Standard.
Intended Audience: This course is intended to provide Supervisors, Managers and Safety Coordinators or Officers, whose employees may have exposure and/or potential exposure to hazardous chemicals and substances, with Hazard Communication orientation reflecting the latest Employee Right to Know information. This training is also appropriate to:
- Project owners, senior managers, building & facility owners that subcontract to vendors visiting their projects and facilities with the intent of work; and, in doing so, may be exposed to site hazardous chemicals
- Sub-Contractors that visit sites at which they will be using hazardous chemicals and/or exposed to site hazardous chemicals
- Manufacturers, Importers, Distributors or Suppliers of hazardous chemicals
This course is applicable to employers and their staffs in nearly all places of employment, including Construction, General Industry, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Service and Transportation Services.
